Hey, I’m Nicolas Osorio, a U16 AAA hockey player with coaching experience. I’ve been playing hockey since I was 5, starting with the Knights organization before making my way up to AA and AAA.
Along the way, I’ve had some pretty awesome moments, like winning 2 league titles, taking 3rd at the OHF Provincials, and being a Silver Stick Regional Champion.
I also had the chance to captain my AA team to the conference finals. Now, I’m playing in the GTHL on a U16 AAA team, pushing myself and my teammates to be the best we can be.I have also volunteered with various Learn to Play and Hockey Canada’s First Shift programs, coaching young players from ages four through to ten.
Off ice, I enjoy playing golf, soccer, and working out. I am also part of my school cross country team and practice with the track & field team when time permits. I spend my summers golfing and working in my landscaping business.
We have been playing hockey together for over 10 years. Along the way, we’ve been to tons of training camps. Some were great, but honestly, not many were able to make learning hockey fun.
Most camps focused on skills, but we didn’t feel the excitement and energy that comes with actually playing the game. That’s where Nexus Hockey comes in. We’ve created a place where kids can develop both their individual and team skills while having a blast.
We believe that learning hockey should be fun and engaging – so we keep the energy high, all while helping players improve their skills for the journey ahead.
Hey, I’m Nathan. I am a passionate hockey enthusiast. I captain both my AA rep team as well as my high school hockey team.
I have been playing hockey since I was 4 years old, working my way up from skating at public rinks with my father to Learn To Play to houseleague, select, A and now at the AA level.
Along the way, I have accomplished many feats including one NYHL championship, two GTHL championships, and placing third in the OHF provincials. I have volunteered with various Learn to Play and Hockey Canada’s First Shift programs, coaching young players from ages four through ten.
Additionally, I have coached teams at the select level. When I am not playing or coaching, you most likely will find me at a rink, refereeing or timekeeping.
Off ice, I enjoy playing baseball, golf, pool, and basketball. I also like to spend my summers camping with family and friends, swimming at beaches, as well as canoeing and fishing with my grandfather.
Our goal at Nexus Hockey is to help new-to-hockey, or nearly-new-to-hockey players improve their skills, allowing them to play confidently in House League, Select and beyond. We strive to accomplish this by creating a supportive, fun-based program.
